this specific version always sends me to a state of deep melancholy, whenever i listen to it i always wanted it to end as soon as it started but there’s also a feeling of incomplete when i don’t get to hear the whole song and feel the way that i do when i hear joni’s voice. there’s not so many artists who can open their hearts and soul through song, or at least not like joni mitchell.
